Description
Differential Pressure sensor ±1.00″ WC (0.002″wc uncertainty). It is used with
TV2 Clean Room Monitor to monitor differential pressure between two areas or rooms.
Includes a 25′ wire with two male ends to plug into the monitor and the sensor. The sensor has two 12″ clear plastic tubes, OD 4.1 mm, each of which is to terminate in a room or area to measure the pressure in that space. The sensor compares the two pressures to arrive at the difference in pressure between each area. This is the differential pressure. The sensor can be used to determine positive or negative pressure between -1″ wc and +1″ wc.
The sensor is shipped with two passive port switch plates into which the clear plastic tubes plug. The switch plates are generally mounted in the ceiling of each room to give a finished look to the installation.
The pressure sensor is factory calibrated and does not need to be periodically re-calibrated. It does, however, need to be ‘zeroed out’ occasionally. The sensor is very sensitive. So sensitive in fact that moving it or reorienting it (moving it from a horizontal or a vertical position) can cause it to read slightly off. It is affected by gravity and if it’s re-positioned it may be off by several thousands of an inch of water. It is ‘zeroed’ out by going into the calibration menu on the QuickCheck monitor and selecting ‘zero the sensor’ before exposing the two clear plastic tubes to different pressures. This insures that it will measure 0.000″ of pressure when the two plastic tubes are placed side by side in the same pressure.
