What We Do
We design and build sophisticated electronic instruments to monitor temperature, humidity and pressure. Our TV2 monitors use the QuickCheck display with a full color Easy-touch interface to continually display each environmental parameters. Although the engineering is very sophisticated the user interface is simple and straight forward. The TV2 is made for non-technical people who need to know if their rooms are safe to enter and meet required standards.
TV2 QuickCheck display
Our TV2 monitors are used in research, medical, industrial and business applications to protect inventory and comply with regulatory requirements for monitoring pressure, temperature and humidity.
We are located near Louisville, KY, the 16th largest city in the US, where we have access to the latest in manufacturing facilities and some of the best engineering talent available anywhere, supplied by two major universities with outstanding engineering schools. Louisville is also the major shipping hub for UPS, so we can easily and quickly ship to anywhere in the world.
Growing from a single product to many with over 1,000 customers worldwide.
Our History
Prodataloggers started with one unique product and only one goal: Offer a better way to look at and understand temperature. We began business in 1999 with an idea of improving the way we think about and view temperature. The idea of thinking about temperature as a process rather than an event has driven the design and production of our products since we started. It is much more logical to think of temperature as a process. Temperature is a constantly changing variable and the way it changes over time is much more important that what the temperature is at any given moment. This is true whether you are looking at the temperature inside a refrigerator, freezer or room.
We wanted to design an instrument which showed what the temperature was over a day, week or even month. So using the very latest cutting edge technology at the time we designed and built the ThermaVeiwer I which showed a line graph of the temperature. It was a completely stand-alone device which showed a chart of the temperature. This was very useful to health professionals who wanted to know on Monday if their refrigerator, storing vaccines and medicines, had maintained the proper temperature over the weekend. Our ThermaViewers quickly found a place in the medical industry.
Thousands of laboratories, hospitals, and doctors needed a way to continually monitor the temperature inside their refrigerators and freezers. They were storing valuable vaccines, medicines and other inventory items and had no way to knowing if the fridge or freezer had maintained the proper temperature 24/7. Our instruments not only logged the temperature continually but could alert them if the temperature became unsafe.
Present Day & Future
The ThermaViewer I eventually became the TV2 when we added a color touch screen, additional alarms, much more memory and the ability to monitor four refrigerators or freezers at the same time.
Since then we have expanded the TV2 to monitor differential pressure and humidity so that our customers could ensure the safety and compliance of their cleanrooms, warehouses and manufacturing space.
What we monitor has changed a bit over the years but our products still log and alarm so our customers protect their inventory. Our monitors are very reliable and accurate. Our customer base has also expanded to well over a thousand customers in many countries.
